ZA-8(ZNAL8CU1,ZPO810)

ZA-8 is the only hot chamber zinc die casting alloy in the ZA family.  It has improved tensile strength, hardness and creep performance compared to the other ZAMAK alloys (except for Zamak 2 which has comparable properties).  The 8% aluminum found in the alloy is added to increase strength and hardness, and lowers the density of the alloy.  ZA-8 is the lightest of all the hot chamber zinc die casting alloys.

The appropriate industry:

 Environmentally friendly die-cast zinc alloy -ZA-8# is widely used in many fields, including but not limited to:

  • Automotive manufacturing: used to manufacture the shell, valve rod and other key parts of the automotive transmission system to ensure the performance and safety of the vehicle.
  • Electronic products: In the electronics industry, Zamak 2 is often used to manufacture electronic equipment housings, plugs and other components, to protect the internal circuit from the external environment.
  • Other industrial fields: In addition, the alloy is also used in the manufacture of door locks, handles, pull rings, zippers and other hardware accessories, as well as mechanical parts, tools, etc.

Performance feature:

  • This product meets the standards of China, the United States and the European Union;Comply with ROHS, EN71Part3, EN1811, CPSIA and other requirements;
  • Low remelting temperature, less slag content, and fine internal crystallization;
  • Good physical and mechanical properties, castability, dimensional stability and creep resistance.

Method of application

  • Bake and dry before use. Do not stir or dredge when feeding.The scum above the molten liquid is stirred calmly with a slag rake to collect it and remove it;
  • The nozzle material according to the ratio of 25%-30% input, no need to slag;
  • The best die casting temperature: 425℃-450℃, the best mold temperature: 210℃-230℃.The upper limit of die-casting temperature is recommended for thin-walled parts and complex parts, and the lower limit is recommended for thick-walled parts and simple parts.
  • The following phenomena may exist in the use process: there is a thin oil film on the surface of the alloy liquid, and there will be a small amount of black film, which is a normal phenomenon.

Packing storage

This product is a block of silver-white metal, stacked neatly, 112 pieces per bundle , bundled with PET strap, and packaged with PVC bag.

After unpacking is not used up, it is best to re-seal, dust and reduce oxidation.

Store in ventilated, dry, non-corrosive substances place, pay attention to moisture.
